Since 1976.

An experienced custom injection molder that has expanded its capabilities over five decades — tooling, molding, over-molding, marking and assembly, out of Troy, Michigan.

The company

An injection molder that kept adding capability.

Founded in 1976 as a custom injection molder for the automotive industry. Automotive work sets a demanding baseline — high volume, tight repeatability, no tolerance for drift — and that baseline is what the rest of the business was built on.

EFI has grown and expanded operations with a wide range of custom injection molding capabilities to meet all customer demands through in-house operations, strategic partnerships and joint ventures.

Globally diversified customer base, balanced within automotive and non-automotive. That balance matters: automotive keeps the process discipline sharp, and non-automotive work keeps the company from being exposed to a single cycle.

Ownership

A woman-owned business since before it was a procurement checkbox.

EFI has been a certified Women’s Business Enterprise through WBENC since August 2002 — more than two decades of continuous certification, held through the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council.

For customers with supplier diversity targets, that certification is real, current documentation rather than a claim. For everyone else it is simply part of how the company has been run.
