Over-molding is named on EFI's IATF 16949 certified scope - it is a registered production process here, not a side service.

02  Multi-material

Bonding a molded material directly onto a substrate to combine functions in a single part.

Over-molding forms a second material directly over an existing component - a molded part, an insert, or a metal substrate - so that sealing, grip, isolation or retention becomes part of the component instead of another assembly step.

EFI handles over-molding from low through high-volume production with the same process control applied to single-material molding.
